A Message From Ron
At the time I was first elected to the position of Sherman County Justice of the Peace in 2002, I cited fairness, consistency, and respect as guiding values that I would endeavor to follow. In the years since, I have done my best to preside over a court that is fair and consistent in its decisions and respectful in its conduct. I have come to learn that it is possible to hold folks accountable as appropriate, yet guide them in the process of learning from their mistakes. I have also learned the importance of re-thinking normal operating procedures in order to adjust to an adverse situation, which has been and will continue to be the case during the COVID-19 pandemic.
I am committed to continuing to follow the principles and practices, and maintain the working relationships that have resulted in the stable operation of the court over the past 19 years. I also look forward to continuing to advocate for local courts at the state level as I have done in the past.
I do believe that my serving in the position of Justice of the Peace has been for me a calling of sorts, and if it is the will of the voters of Sherman County, I will continue to answer the call. Thanks again for your support.
